Sony Ericsson Zylo:@Rs. 5999

Sony Ericsson ZyloIntroduction
Sony Ericsson is coming up with Sony Ericsson Zylo, a small and sexy music slider at an attractive price? and of course the social bug to appeal to the young group.

Design
The all plastic chassis of Sony Ericsson Zylo is solidly built with no body creaks. The dotted pattern back and front panels use fingerprint resistant glossy plastic. A faux metal frame runs around the handset?s body. The blue rim of the D-pad and the Walkman logo gives it a peppy look. The phone is equipped with a 2.6" 16M-color display with good image quality. Below the screen there is a crowded navigation deck centered around a circular D-pad. The right side of the handset hosts the Walkman button that will start the music player instantly. The styling is retro but the curved shape and friendly controls make it comfortable to operate.

Key features
Music and social networking are the most sought after features and the Zylo meets them seamlessly. The phone UI has great multitasking ability. For connectivity, it comes with fast HSPA support with GPRS/EDGE. Besides, you get Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and USB, though you?d need a USB converter. The microSD card slot is ready to accommodate cards of up to 16GB. The phone handles all common types of messages and emails but can't handle any attached documents. To get look into the web, you have a nice Access NetFront web browser v3.5.

Multimedia
The Sony Ericsson Zylo runs a Media Center for Photo, Music, Video, Games etc. The latest Walkman player is compatible with numerous file formats. You also get a video player that works with the MP4 and 3GP video formats. The music phone does not forget the good old FM radio with RDS to entertain you more. As expected the audio quality of the Walkman-branded Zylo is great. The phone has a 3 megapixel camera capable of producing great still images and capturing video in VGA resolution.

Pros
The Zylo is keen to treat users to great social networking integration. It gives you all the social stuff right on the home screen with a solid widget set running live updates.

Cons
Being a music phone, the absence of the 3.5mm audio jack and a standard USB port is disappointing.

Verdict
The Zylo looks nice, feels great in the hand and is pretty cheap. It deserves credit for keeping the Walkman spirit alive among the young generation.
